Vynco presents an innovative range of switches and sockets that can be painted to match any Resene colour, allowing every last detail of a project to be colour coordinated.
The unique glass-look finish and custom painting feature of the Fusion range was originally born out of the coloured splashback trend in New Zealand kitchens. These products have been sold in Australia and New Zealand for around five years, in which time several end users have pushed the boundaries of switch plate colours, including glittery purple and lipstick pink.
Fusion provides a new freedom to be able to treat switches and power points, not as unattractive necessities, but as interior design features in their own right. Mirror the paint colour on the wall to camouflage the switch, or choose a complementary colour to accent another feature in the room. Coordinate with furniture or finishings, complement or contrast, or pick colours out of wall paper patterns — the options are endless.
In addition to the Fusion product that is designed to be painted, Vynco also has six standard ranges of Fusion, for where colour matching is not vital:
Fusion Wrap is the elementary Fusion product, which has a traditional fluid, wrap-around look. The creamy face plate sits flush to the wall, providing a modern and economical switchgear solution. Vynco recommends the use of Fusion Wrap to cut costs in rooms of less frequent use, such as laundries and garages.
The next step up from Wrap is the Fusion White range. The ultra-glassy white switches are most suited to areas where a minimalist look is preferred.
When white is too stark, choose Fusion Sand or Fusion Stone, the two earthy tones in the Fusion standard ranges. Match the dense brown of Fusion Stone with schist or stone features such as fireplaces. With its rich, earthy colour, this versatile range suits both rustic and contemporary spaces. Fusion Sand is a complex river-boulder beige, creating more warmth than pure whites. Style with dark oxide greens or natural wood stains or textures.
Fusion Silver Metal has a 2mm thick brushed surface that coordinates well with any stainless steel appliances and tapware. Choose from white or black sub-plates and switch mechanisms.
One of the more popular metal styles is the Fusion Black Metal, which is a brushed black metal plate, on a black sub-plate, for a classic all black look. It is great for highlighting black leather furniture, matt black painted walls or black granite bench tops.
One of the key benefits of the Fusion range is that it allows designers and clients to make colour scheme decisions later in the build process. The colour doesn't need to be decided before the electrical contractor installs a complete house lot of switches and sockets. All of the face-plates — known as fascias — in the Vynco Fusion range fit a uniform base-plate, which can be installed in advance, and the coloured fascias added later. They easily clip on and off, allowing for interior design changes later on in the life of the building, which also adds an element of future-proofing.
