Thinking Outside the Subway with 3D-Effect Tiles from The Tile Depot

Subway tiles and kit-kat or finger mosaics are two of the most popular go-to designs for bathroom walls at present. Simple elongated architectural shapes that are sleek and contemporary, and very much “on trend”.

But what about clients who don’t want to be “on trend”? What if they really would like something unique and very different to brick-bonded subways or kit-kat mosaics? Then let the Tile Depot introduce the colourful 3D-effect feature tiles from Marca Corona.

Marca Corona is an Italian factory that produces high quality porcelain and white bodied ceramic tiles, renown for eclectic and contemporary design. Their 3D-effect wall tiles are really unique and add refinement and character to any space.

There are currently two Marca Corona feature wall collections at The Tile Depot.

The 4D collection has a modern three-dimensional aesthetic in a chalky matt finish. Available in only white and deep blue versions, the geometric designs of the 4D are bold and striking. Despite their strong design and textural effect, they are compatible with a wide range of different materials and styles to create unique and eye-catching interiors. Four 4D designs are held in stock.

The Victoria collection takes its inspiration from the Victorian era, particularly the elegant wood panelling of the late 19th century and the more eccentric 3D designs that characterised that time. There are three textures in the collection and unique pastel tones (pink and turquoise), neutral vanilla and bold obsidian colour variants, that are all designed to be used in combination. The result is a neo-classical inspired tile collection destined for truly bespoke spaces. Four designs are currently held in stock at The Tile Depot.

Bold designs characterised by colour, texture and 3D-effect in large format tiles are almost the polar opposite of the current on-trend propensity for smaller, simpler designs. They often have a higher price point than the smaller tiles but this is offset by the ease and speed with which they can be installed.

For those seeking unique yet contemporary tiles for their next interior wall, the 4D and Victoria collections are a must see.
