The challenge was to form similarities with diamond shapes out of flat sheets, however, this was easily achieved due to the fabrication benefits of ALPOLIC/fr sheets. The same look also flowed into the lobby area and added depth to the architecture.
Tim at CudoClad has described his experience with ALPOLIC/fr and PSP Limited as follows:
“PSP have been supplying us at CudoClad with ALPOLIC/fr panels for a number of years. They have always proven to be reliable and very accommodating to the many challenges that we face in the building industry. As a New Zealand agent for some leading global brands they have always been very helpful with their high level of support and product understanding. PSP have always seen themselves as partners in the projects we have worked on and provided us with a lot of flexibility and understanding for the mutual benefit of ALPOLIC/fr cladding by CudoClad.”
ALPOLIC/fr sheets contain a fire-retardant mineral filled core and a high performance Lumiflon-based fluoropolymer (FEVE) paint coating that is supported with a 20-year warranty, making it more durable compared to traditional PVDF paint coating. These features made ALPOLIC/fr the ideal choice for this project given the creditability and trust it has globally and in the New Zealand market.
ALPOLIC also offers an A1 non-combustible mineral core, containing zero polyethylene that passes ISO9705, ISO5660, AS/NZS1530.1, EN13501.
Both ALPOLIC fr and ALPOLIC NC/A1 carry a PASS (Product Assurance Supplier Statement) which complies with s14G of the New Zealand Building Act 2004.
