Nuralite Provides Attractive Low Pitch Roof for Christchurch School

With 50 years experience in the industry, Nuralite has earned the title of 'the flat roof experts'. Nuralite provides innovative waterproofing and insulation solutions, including the Nuraply 3PM 'bulletproof' membrane. It is the most specified torch-on system in New Zealand. Nuralite's double layer torch-on membrane protects low pitched roofs from the elements.

An example of 3PM's ability to cope with adverse conditions is Nuralite's project with Cathedral Grammar School designed by Tezuka Architects and Andrew Barrie Lab. The newly built school in Christchurch required a roof that would reflect the modern design of the building, with added durability to withstand the rigours of the South Island environment. The aim was to achieve a mix of functionality and design in the final product. Nuraply 3PM ensured the project's roof was perfect and resilient.

The Nuraply 3PM system has recently gained the highest form of assurance of Building Code compliance with CodeMark certification. The fall of the roof can now be as low as 1.5° on plywood or metal substrates, and 1° on concrete substrates. CodeMark certification of Nuraply 3PM aids council acceptance during building consent.

Nuraply 3PM is a double layered system that provides twice the protection compared to single ply membranes. At 7mm thick, Nuralite offers 3PM as its most 'bulletproof' system available. The membrane works perfectly on low pitch roofs as it provides a mix of durability and style. The mineral chip finish is natural, inert, and fully UV resistant.

The 3PM system is Nuralite's most popular product and works out to be same price as a single ply alternative. Low pitched roofs or flat roofs require a durable, long lasting solution, and that is what the Nuraply system delivers. With a 20 year product warranty, 3PM provides a completely waterproof system, which is available in a range of colour options and is made to fit any roof.
