Revamped Schneider PDL Vision Studio Kitchen Featuring New Zealand Panels Group

Designer Katherine Lightfoot from Kella Design has skilfully revamped the Schneider PDL Vision Studio kitchen. Infusing it with both style and optimal functionality through a careful selection of products from New Zealand Panels Group.

For the cabinetry, Katherine opted to use Prime Melamine in a winning colour combo of Devon Oak and Atmoss. With an extensive range of solid colours and woodgrains, Prime Melamine can be pressed in five distinct finishes catering to various interior décor styles. Beyond the extensive colour selection which runs close to 60 options, melamine is the most affordable cabinetry choice known for its durability and carrying a 10-year warranty. Prime Melamine also holds Eco Choice Aotearoa accreditation, earning valuable points for Homestar or Greenstar projects. When pressed on Black FR MDF substrate, it also achieves a 1-S fire rating.

Complementing the cabinetry, the kitchen benchtop features Durasein Pure Solid Acrylic in Knight White, a softly striated design in white and soft grey. Durasein was chosen for its aesthetic appeal and durability. It offers a stone-like appearance while boasting a surface that is renewable, repairable, recyclable, reusable, and impact-resistant. Additionally, Durasein ensures a hygienic environment with its food-safe, non-toxic, non-porous, anti-bacterial, low VOC, mould/mildew-resistant, silica-free composition. Cleaning is a breeze as it is stain and chemical resistant. It comes with certifications including Declare, Greenguard, Greenguard Gold, along with a 10-year warranty.

To make a bold statement and complete the overall contemporary look of this kitchen, Katherine selected the Mercer Aurora 500 Series sink and matching Mercer Gooseneck tap, in a gorgeous brass colour. The Aurora series, also available in copper, gunmetal, and stainless steel, stands out due to its use of the environmentally friendly PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) colouring process. Unlike traditional methods involving liquids, PVD is superior in terms of environmental impact. Each Aurora sink is accompanied by a matching grid and offers a variety of accessories. Furthermore, Aurora sinks come with an impressive 25-year warranty.

The careful choice of products and colour selection for this kitchen has created a beautiful, contemporary show kitchen that has been designed for enduring durability and timeless appeal.
