Integrated Metrotile Vents Installed at Riverhead Home

Metrotile's integrated vent solutions are being used to overcome regular issues that builders face on residential building sites. Firstly, they offer a replacement for traditional penetrations, without the reliance on flashings or silicone to remain weathertight for the life of the structure. Secondly, they help to efficiently remove moisture from the home.

The images above show the HV160 Extraction and LV75 Roof Space Metrotile Vents that were installed by SH Roofing in a new roof in Riverhead in early November this year. These vents have been coated in Grey Friars satin finish, in matching profiles to the surrounding roof. These Shake roof vents give a neat and tidy appearance that is integrated into the Metrotile High Performance Roofing System.

The builder was very interested in the additional efficiency for the rangehood and shower extractors, achieved by venting a shorter distance straight up, and avoiding the on-site issue of squeezing the ducting through small gaps at the soffit.

The roof space venting will also benefit the structure by releasing the warm, moist air created within the living environment (through heating, cooking, breathing etc.) that generally becomes trapped inside the roof space at the ridge line, creating a better ventilated, healthier environment.

Unique Design

  • Integrated with the Metrotile roof profiles
  • Coated in the same colour as the Zincalume satin or stone-chip textured profile
  • Built-in protective grille to keep out debris, birds, leaves and rodents
  • No more white pipes or galvanised after-market vents through beautiful new roofs
