On average people spend 90% of their time indoors so it is important that indoor spaces are designed with health and wellbeing in mind. A large part of this is ensuring a good indoor air quality.
Particulates with an aerodynamic diameter of 10µm or smaller (PM10) can contain microbial contaminants, such as mould, pollen and allergens. These can lead to respiratory problems and allergic reactions. They can also affect the heart and lungs, causing serious physiological problems.
Desso AirMaster captures harmful fine dust from the indoor air more effectively than other flooring solutions. Testing by a German independent air quality testing organisation has proven that Desso AirMaster is eight times more effective at capturing and retaining fine dust than smooth flooring solutions. It is also four times more effective than standard carpet solutions.
GreenTag certification also means that Desso AirMaster contributes points towards the Green Star programme.
How does it work?
Very fine dust is captured and retained in the fine yarns while coarser dust is captured in the thicker yarns. The unique structure of the Desso AirMaster traps in the dust and prevents it from escaping until cleaning, where the vacuum cleaner will cause the release of the dust.
Desso AirMaster is available in selected colours and patterns in the Desso range.
