A Nail-Free Decking Solution for a Family Home

Paul of P.S. Builders Ltd in Napier was asked to recommend a decking board for a deck that would offer indoor-outdoor flow for a family that wanted to enjoy the wonderful Hawkes Bay weather with no worries about regular maintenance.

As he had previously worked with Futurewood and seen how superior the product was and how easy it was to install, Paul did not hesitate to suggest Futurewood for his client’s new project.

His client liked the idea of a clean, nail-free surface and the fact Futurewood offered a 15-year warranty that no other composite decking material could match.

From the seven colours Futurewood had on offer, his client selected Walnut to blend in with the house colour scheme and the lawn area.

Using Futurewood meant a quick installation time frame for Paul as all boards are dimensionally uniform by profile and length. Being able to use existing cutting tools and Futurewood’s concealed fixing system assisted with the speed of laying the deck but also being a solid board meant Paul didn’t have to worry about the exposed edges having to be hidden.

The solution has also helped create the flow from the large lounge to the outdoor deck leading across the back of the house to the client's beautiful garden.

The end result is a great space that his clients can now relax on and enjoy.
