More Builders Opting to Use Futurewood Instead of Timber Decking

Futurewood Composite Decking has been a popular option for homeowners in New Zealand for over 13 years now. Whether it’s an outdoor renovation or a deck for a new home, Futurewood decking can be found in thousands of homes throughout New Zealand as an alternative to timber decking.

Shaun Roodt, owner of Ronin Outdoor Spaces, has been using Futurewood since the start of 2021 and has completed about 15 projects in this time.

The latest Project at Puni in South Auckland consisted of 128m² of decking area using Chocolate coloured Futurewood. The property is a new build that required a large deck area incorporating a pool and barbecue area.

The owners discovered that Futurewood composite decking was the right choice to have around their pool as it meets all the slip-resistant requirements, is mould and mildew resistant and won’t rot a wet environment like around a pool. All this while offering the new homeowner a low maintenance decking solution.

The client was very happy with the final look and feel as Futurewood boasts style, versatility at the same time adding value to the property.
