The manuals — for the Altherm, FIRST and Vantage window brands — have been reshaped to take advantage of the standardised, easy-to-navigate layout offered by most manuals hosted by EBOSS.

Where previously the APL design guides mirrored the hard copy manuals, the new interface offers a comprehensive menu system from one page that allows quick reference to product ranges, products, drawings and technical documentation. A handy document download tool provides an easy way to organise and download supporting technical material and drawing choices.

Individual product photography has also been added along with a brief product description. All product ranges are covered, from the mainstream residential suites to high end products such as the Metro range and APL Architectural Series. Commercial window systems are also included. The new layout provides for an alternative style of product search by product type as well as by range/suite type.

APL believes that the fast access to product information through improved navigation and search functionality will be welcomed by specifiers. Additional information relating to specifications, code compliance and 3D imagery will be added.
