Exterior Cladding in the Christchurch Earthquakes: Masons Plasterbrick

The Golden Homes show home at 234 Bealey Ave, Christchurch has been constructed with Golden Homes steel framing and finished with Masons Enviro Panel & Plaster System.

Grant Kitson, Construction Manager for Golden Homes says, "Our show home has moved only slightly with the shakes, when inspected we found only minor separation at the soffit line and above some windows. These gaps were filled and re-plastered in half a day, we are very pleased with the performance of the ENVIRO panel and PLASTABRICK Plaster System."

United Brick Layers use Masons Brick Ties and they are very pleased with their performance during the quakes.

Owner Craig Cusack says "The 2-storey Brick units in Henley Green, Northwood were completed in August 2010, after the September quake they were inspected and only minor cracking had occurred, the ties did their job of holding the walls together."

Masons Brick Ties are suitable for use in commercial or residential construction and have been tested and passed by OPUS International Consultants. They are rated Heavy Duty Earthquake as per AS/NZS 2699 1:200.
