In today’s competitive, regulation-driven construction sector, specifiers and builders demand materials that deliver on a number of levels. While cost plays a big part in what is used on a project, an even greater consideration is that selected materials perform well in New Zealand’s unique and often harsh climatic conditions to ensure weather tightness is not compromised.
DynaFlash by DynexBuild is an innovative universal back flashing that comes in a coil, designed to prevent the penetration of moisture that may cause undue dampness or damage to the building elements.
Proudly manufactured in New Zealand using high-grade polymers that have been independently tested to ensure their performance, DynaFlash can be folded to any angle and is designed for vertical installation behind exterior claddings where they change in direction or transition with other claddings. A key feature of DynaFlash is the compressible co-ex bead that will not push out the cladding, therefore reducing unsightly cladding bulges.
When installed as designed, DynaFlash provides a secondary line of protection at these points and a path for any moisture to exit below.
Available in three different sizes, 100mm wide (50 x 50), 150mm wide (75 x 75) and 200mm wide (100 x 100), DynaFlash is manufactured in 25m ‘coils’ supplied in a handy dispensing carton, allowing the installer to use exactly the right amount of flashing, significantly reducing waste on site and eliminating the need for joins.
The 100 x 100mm size not only works in external corners, internal corners and flat junctions, but is also suitable for 'Z' flashings and includes a range of features that ensure a smooth and cost-effective installation process.
BRANZ appraised DynaFlash has received wide acceptance throughout the industry, as Peter Glauser-Williams of G.J. Gardner Homes, West Auckland says: “Our builders just love this stuff; it can be used everywhere, and they can throw a few boxes in the back of the truck”.
