Open plan environments no longer need to feel overwhelming with Autex's most stylish and forward-thinking solution to creating privacy. Cascade, Autex’s newest innovation, is a collection of acoustic hanging screens that fall from the ceiling in unique patterns, to help create a quiet zone and diffuse any unwanted noise.
Acoustic absorption in spatial design not only improves acoustics and speech intelligibility, but has a positive effect on the attention span and overall mood of the people within. Cascade has two main acoustic actions; firstly, adding a large surface area of absorptive material to a space, and secondly, by disrupting the path of sound. This is done by absorbing a percentage of the sound's energy as it passes through the screen, which in turn reduces the amount of sound bouncing around the space it's a part of.
Cascade is made using Cube acoustic lightweight semi-rigid panel with water-cut patterns and matched with the Frontier channel and suspension system. This latest patented system transforms the sustainable, low VOC Cube sheets into beautiful suspended acoustic screens available in three different styles: Static, Folding and Expanding.
What makes Cascade unique are the designs of both the Folding and Expanding screens which pull and push apart to form the pattern without any cut-out pieces going to waste. This essentially allows half the material to go twice the distance, continuing Autex’s commitment to pushing innovation while being mindful of the environment. With its own, unique fixing system that includes both channels and adjustable wires for a seamless install experience, the most difficult part of the Cascade process, is choosing a favourite.
Just like the entire Autex Interior Acoustic product range, Cascade brings exceptional acoustic performance. With each style tailored for targeted sound absorption, background chatter melts through each screen.
