Corian is virtually seamless and not only looks great but is a huge benefit when cleanliness is important. When fabricated, Corian’s joins are barely noticeable and the surface is smooth, therefore there is barely any growth of mould and mildew when properly cleaned. With no grout lines, cleaning things like upstands and benchtops with integrated basins is simple and hygienic, making it an ideal choice for schools and food preparation facilities. When Corian looks clean, it is clean.
Everyday wear and tear of surfaces from a large number of people is a factor when choosing which material to use. Corian is a solid surface meaning it is the same material through the entire thickness of the Corian. If a chip does occur it can usually be repaired by an authorised Corian fabricator resulting in little or no visual difference from the rest of the surface.
The flexibility of Corian makes it ideal for a number of educational applications as it can be bent, curved, grooved, fluted and more. Imagine an early education centre having an integrated, custom made baby bath and bench top; a university lab work benches with grooved draining boards; or a school’s collaborative tables in formed organic shapes to help stimulate creativity and team work.
Corian: the ideal choice for good looking, hygienic and easy to clean surfaces in any learning environment.
