Loline Direct Solar
Description

The Rheem Loline solar water heating system provides flexibility — storage tanks can be mounted at the same level or below the collectors to suit site requirements and tank/collector ratios can be closely matched to maximise system efficiency. Use Equa-Flow manifolding to connect as many tanks as required in a variety of configurations.

Select from 325L and 410L vitreous enamel storage tanks or 1000L to 5000L stainless steel storage tanks where less footprint is required. Rheem commercial storage tanks are designed for heavy duty applications and are supplied with high temperature enamel and 50mm fittings as standard.

The Rheem solar storage tanks are suitable for installation either outdoor or indoor and with the Rheem NPT 200 solar collectors. The system is not suitable for installation above 400 metres in altitude.

Key Features
  • Modular design provides flexibility. Storage tanks can be mounted at the same level or below the collectors to suit site requirements and tank/collector ratios can be closely matched to maximise system efficiency
  • NPT200 collector provides good performance in all locations
  • Select from 325 litre and 410 litre vitreous enamel storage tanks or 1000 to 5000 litre stainless steel storage tanks where less footprint is required. Rheem commercial storage tanks are designed for heavy duty applications and are supplied with high temperature enamel and 50mm fittings as standard
  • Provides partial protection against freeze. Freeze protection is provided by sensors which activate the solar circulator before freezing occurs in the collectors. Rheem Loline is warranted against freeze damage in areas below 400m altitude. An optional electric water heater can be incorporated in the design to assist in freeze protection
  • The solar controller can be connected to a BMS system to indicate normal operation or fault mode
  • Use Equa-Flow manifolding to connect as many tanks as required in a variety of configurations
Scope of Use
  • The NPT200 slimline solar collector provides good performance in all locations — see limitations
  • Industrial and commercial use
  • Hospitals and aged care facilities
  • Apartments and residential complexes
  • Hotels
Limitations on Use
  • The system is not suitable for installation above 400 metres in altitude
  • The system when installed in areas subject to freeze conditions must be installed with the solar hot and solar cold pipes fully insulated with closed cell type insulation (minimum thickness 13 mm) and with an auxiliary electric water heater located in the solar cold line to offer protection against freeze damage
  • Freeze conditions occur below 6°C. The system has No Warranty for freeze damage when installed above 400 metres altitude or if the solar hot and solar cold pipes are uninsulated or if an auxiliary electric water heater has not been installed
Other Performance Attributes
  • Provides partial protection against freeze. Freeze protection is provided by sensors which activate the solar circulator before freezing occurs in the collectors. Rheem Loline is warranted against freeze damage in areas below 400m altitude. An optional electric water heater can be incorporated in the design to assist in freeze protection
  • Freeze conditions occur below 6°C. The system has No Warranty for freeze damage when installed above 400 metres altitude or if the solar hot and solar cold pipes are uninsulated or if an auxiliary electric water heater has not been installed
