Designed as an all-in-one system for space heating and potable hot water, the Ecodan QUHZ CO2 Hot Water Heat Pump is ideal for residential applications.
The 4kW heating capacity lends its self to townhouses, apartments, passive houses or renovations looking for heating in a low energy loss building. By utilising CO2 as an environmentally-friendly, safe and natural refrigerant with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 1, the QUHZ presents a low carbon alternative to traditional direct electric and gas water heating systems.
The QUHZ CO2 Hot Water Heat Pump can also be installed as Domestic Hot Water (DHW) only, if space heating is not required, and can be retrofitted to an existing home.
Equipped with a dedicated pre-plumbed 200-litre thermal store, the QUHZ can provide domestic hot water up to 70°C as well as supply hydronic space heating through radiators, fan coils or underfloor heating — heating the whole home easily with temperatures up to 60°C with no risk of legionella.
*1 Under heating conditions; outdoor temperature 7ºC, water outlet temperature 65ºC, inlet water temperature 15°C
*2 Measured at 1m from the outdoor unit
An all-in-one system for space heating and potable hot water or as a standalone potable hot water system, the QUHZ is ideal for residential homes requiring domestic hot water heating as well as space heating through:
The 5kw heating capacity lends its self to townhouses, apartments, passive houses or renovations looking for heating in a low energy loss building.
Consisting of an indoor thermal store and outdoor unit, the systems integration must be considered at the design phase so the unit can be installed and space is left to ensure the entire hydronic system can be installed with minimal impact to the home's function and aesthetic.
The QUHZ CO2 Hot Water Heat Pump can also be installed as Domestic Hot Water (DHW) only, providing temperatures up to 70°C and can be retrofitted to an existing home.
It is recommended heat load calculations are completed to ensure system has adequate capacity for the installation (for other capacity options see the Ecodan Hot Water Heat Pump range). Mitsubishi Electric has a team ready to assist with calculations and design plans.
The product is not intended for large scale commercial heating application. Please refer to the Mitsubishi Electric QAHV CO2 Hot Water Heat Pump for commercial potable hot water application.
