Engineered Timber Interior Panelling — Tactile Collection
Description

Tactile is a collection of engineered timber wall panelling suitable for residential and commercial applications. Tactile comes in pre-finished 15mm  thick T&G planks applied via glue and pin onto a substrate.

Planks comprise a 4mm wear layer of reclaimed European spruce over a Birch & Poplar plywood core.

The Tactile collection comes in two colour options.

  • 15mm thick with 4mm wear layer x 240mm (W) x 2200mm (L) standard stocked planks
  • 7mm thick x 100/140/180mm (W)

Scope of Use

Forté Interior Timber Panelling is a non-structural engineered panelling system for use internally as a decorative, non-structural wall or ceiling lining.

  • For internal use only
  • Ensure the wall is load-rated to handle the weight of the product
  • Commercial spaces: must meet Group 1-S fire rating
  • 5-10mm expansion gaps around the perimeter and all fixed items must be considered and allowed for in design
  • Not recommended for use in areas subject to high moisture content
  • Maximum 400mm spacing when fixing directly to wall framing/battens
  • Prefinished engineered timber
  • Matching corner profiles available
Limitations on Use

The Forté Tactile Interior Panelling Collection shall be:

  • a) designed in accordance with the design guide applicable to the product (Wall Panelling Design & Installation Guide Edition 2.0 December 2023)
  • b) installed in accordance with the Wall Panelling Design & Installation Guide Edition 2.0 December 2023, and
  • c) Separated from fuel burning appliances, flues, and chimneys in accordance with NZBC Section CAS/1.
