Description

Whether a grid ceiling is large, heavy or high, the need for effective back bracing is extremely important. The need to provide a tested and consistent bracing solution is essential. Gridlok provides consistent performance, every time and is available for two way exposed grid and concealed grid systems.

  • Gridlok GRD-10 for two way and drywall suspended grid ceiling system.
  • Gridlok GRD-10S for concealed grid system using Top Cross rail.
  • Gridlok GRD-10F where connection to the furring channel is required.
  • Gridlok GRD-10U where connection to U profile is required.
  • Gridlok GRD-10C where connection to C channel is required.

The patented Gridlok connection saddle provides a solid bond to the grid system. It also features the ability to rotate the brace footprint through 360° meaning service clashes are easily avoided.

Scope of Use
  • For interior application only
  • Must be installed in accordance with manufacturers specification and within the parameters of AS/NZS1170.5 AS/NZS4219 AS/ NZS2785
  • Construction outside of available information will require consultation and approval
  • Architect and/or Structural engineer plus relevant regulatory bodies must approve variations of installation
Limitations on Use
  • Structural engineer and regulatory body must seismically approve configurations outside of specifications
  • The unit and/or bracing material must not be used as an anchor point or fixing
    point by associated trades
  • All Gridlok units and bracing must be checked after seismic event for signs of wear
  • Gridlok is not intended to replace ceiling suspension wires, which must be installed as per manufacturers specification
  • The unit must not be deformed or altered in any way. Tenancy changes requiring new ceiling installation requires new Gridlok units to be installed
