Statement of how the building product is expected to contribute to compliance:

• B1: Hatch structure uses common building materials and has been demonstrated to be able to span between supports under its own self weight, for the range of sizes given.
• B2: Based on material properties and history of use. Unihatch Wet Area Access Hatches are accessible and so are required to have a durability of at least 5 years. Exposed steel components are powder coated with paint, while other steel components are electro-galvanised. Unihatch wet area panels are accessible and so are required to have a durability of at least 5 years. This is achieved through the use of a powdercoated steel frame and the use of Signex® board for the hatch. Signex® board has a hard wearing water resistant skin, and does not delaminate or rot. • E3.3.4, E3.3.5: Hatch surfaces, consisting of pressed Signex® board and powdercoated steel framing are impervious and easily cleaned.
• F2: Unihatch hatches are safe when handled. There are no requirements for this product in order to comply with AcceptableSolution F2/AS1, First Edition Amendment 3, 2017.
• H1: Unihatch hatches can be used in combination with other parts of the building system, including insulating materials, to achieve required wall and ceiling insulation R-values as specified in H1/AS1.
