Scope of Use

Dryden WoodMaster has been specially designed for most timber species, such as softwoods Western Red Cedar, Radiata Pine, Macrocarpa, Larch, Redwood, and hardwoods like Purpleheart, Garapa, Vitex, Kwila, Tonka, Rosewood, Iroko and Jarrah.

Also suitable for other timber products such as Modified Timbers, Plywood and Laminated Timbers.

It can be applied to interior timber panelling, doors, trim, sarking, and cabinets etc, as well as exterior timber cladding, sarking, soffits, and joinery. It is suitable for dressed and bandsawn timbers.

Dryden WoodMaster when applied indoors can be used with or without Dryden Colourtone. For greater protection and cleanability on hard-wearing areas such as cabinets, doors, balustrades, and handrails Dryden WoodMaster can be overcoated with a 'clear' water-based or oil-based polyurethane.

Limitations on Use

Dryden WoodMaster must be overcoated with a 'clear' oil-based polyurethane when used in wet areas such as bathrooms and laundries.

On exteriors, Dryden WoodMaster should only be used on exterior timber cladding, sarking, soffits, and joinery. It is not suitable for decking.

Dryden WoodMaster must have a Dryden Colourtone added when used on exteriors to provide UV protection.

In-Service History

In 1999, Dryden was established to service the New Zealand housing and construction industry, providing a more fitting protection solution for timber, through their flagship product Dryden WoodOil.

The range also encompasses comprehensive specialist cleaning and coating products for a variety of interior and exterior applications.

Maintenance

Interior:

Cleaning with a damp cloth and mild detergent solution will extend the service life of the stained surface.

Exterior:

Dryden recommend annual maintenance inspections and soft washing to keep the building in optimum condition. In some circumstances, due to localised environmental conditions soft washing will be required more regularly.

Inspections help with the early identification of maintenance requirements and minor issues before they become large expensive problems.

For more information and detail on maintenance, refer to the Dryden WoodMaster Cleaning & Maintenance Guide.
