Smart Tray Lock Seam Roofing & Cladding
Description

Smart Tray Lock Seam Roofing & Cladding offers clients the look of a standing seam profile, but without the cost of plywood, as it is installed directly onto purlins, structural cavity battens or aluminium rails at 450mm centres.

This has the benefit of being more cost effective due to the deletion of the plywood sub-structure and associated fixings, along with the removal of a product deemed combustible making this profile suitable for high density residential roofing and cladding projects over 10 metres.

Key Features
  • Available for both roofing and cladding
  • No visible fixings
  • This product is installed with the same robust flashing system and attention to detailing as Architectural Metalformers' traditional roofing
  • Available only in Aluminium and Steel
  • Retain the ability to adjust tray widths to suit the project requirements ensuring symmetry across the roof
  • Range of colours
  • Able to be fully recycled at the end of its lifetime

In-Service History

This cladding system has been used in New Zealand for a number of years, mostly on high end residential projects in the greater Auckland region. Architectural Metalformers install all Lockseam projects with the same flashing techniques learnt in the traditional Standing Seam profiles extensively used on high profile Projects.

The best known building in New Zealand using similar techniques for cladding being the Beehive, clad in copper.
