These clear, single-layer polyester films rely on thickness to provide additional security benefits. While they do not offer the tear resistance of the Scotchshield Ultra Safety and Security Films, they do help provide additional safety and security.
In many cases where glazing requires an upgrade to safety glass, 3M Safety Films can be applied to bring it in line with AS/NZS 2208. In these cases, the application of 3M Safety Film means that the actual glass need not be replaced.
