An example of how a Suntech unit has truly transformed an area can be seen in this lovely East Auckland home. The client wanted a fully retractable system, so she was not left with slits of light normally seen in louvres. She wanted a natural looking area, retaining her ideal design of a rich warm home which is welcoming to her guests. The client wanted to use her area for both entertaining and outdoor dining, so full enclosure was necessary. In order to fulfil her request, waterproof outdoor blinds would need to be installed in all openings of the structure. After several refinements and plenty of client interaction, the design was finalised and the project was underway.
Once the system arrived in New Zealand it was sent off to have a custom wood grain powder coat to suit the customer's area. With a quick turnaround, the system was available for install within the week. With some custom-made brackets installed to give extra height and support, the frame of the system was assembled on site within a couple of hours by a pair of installers. The next day the Serge Ferrari 502 FR Vanilla PVC roof was installed to complete the Suntech system, with made to measure outdoor blinds added in later.
With a waterproof all season area the client can now enjoy the additional 40+ square metres which flow freely out of the living room. The client has emphasised how convenient the use of motorisation can be. With the touch of a button an open area can be enclosed. This is a lot easier than manually unwinding screens and a roller awning. The client also noted the system's ability to insulate against strong UV rays and radiant heat. In the winter the Suntech allows great power savings while using outdoor heaters.
