Each sensor tap requires a Protherm in-line thermostatic valve; this valve can run up to six taps in one area. The sensor tap requires standard AA batteries, but is operated by mains electricity when wired in, and in case of power failure the mixer automatically switches to the battery. Once mains is restored the mixer automatically switches back to mains use. Water runs for maximum of 2 seconds after you remove your hands from in front of the sensor.

The I-Tech is available in a chrome finish. Avoid using cleaning powders and liquids; a wipe with a damp cloth is all that's needed to keep it looking good.
