With 113 deluxe guest rooms, suites and apartments the Hilton Lake Taupo is a full-service hotel and a prestigious brand which Tile Warehouse were a major supplier to.

The original 1918 Terraces Hotel — now the Heritage Wing — has undergone major renovations to bring the rooms and facilities up to the Hilton standard.  Many of the rooms have been extended to create larger overall living spaces.

Throughout the bathrooms, Tile Warehouse have used the high quality double-loaded porcelain range, Milano Arctic matt 600x600 on the floors and matching wall tiles, Milano Arctic polished 600x600.  The use of the large  sizes and light colouring creates a contemporary feeling of light and space in this very traditional building.

Finally in all of the exterior areas you will see the unique natural basalt tile, Black Nero flamed 400x600.  Basalt is one of the oldest, hardest and strongest volcanic stones available…symbolising both strength and longevity. This material is just at home in a country farm house as it is seen here in a modern high rise apartment situation.

Positioned alongside the Heritage Wing, with panoramic views over Lake Taupo and the volcanic mountains, is the addition of the new Mountain Wing.  While new, this wing has managed to retain some of the character and charm of the original Victorian building.  Throughout the kitchens and bathrooms you will find the popular Milano Sand polished 300x600 for both floors and walls from Tile Warehouse.  The warmer, cream colouring suits the relaxed feeling of this addition.
