Titen HD Screw Bolt Approved for MAXRaft Insulated Slab Design

Recent testing on Simpson Strong-Tie concrete screw anchors used as bottom plate anchors with slab edges formed by MAXRaft polystyrene edging will comply with Clause 7.5.12.2 of NZS 3604.

The test results have proven that the Titen HD screw bolt (M10x160) will provide a 15kN fixing for end studs of bracing wall elements.

Titen HD is BRANZ appraised No. 983 (2018) for applications related to bottom plate fixings and holdown applications per NZS 3604.

The innovative serrated carbon-steel threads on the tip of the Titen HD are vital because they undercut the concrete as the anchor is driven into the hole, making way for the rest of the threads to interlock with the concrete.

Titen HD Heavy Duty Screw Anchor is the original high-strength screw anchor for use in cracked and uncracked concrete, as well as uncracked masonry.

For use in cracked and uncracked concrete, as well as uncracked masonry
Qualified for static and seismic loading conditions
Available in a wide range of diameters and lengths
Removable — ideal for temporary anchoring (e.g. formwork, bracing) or applications where fixtures may need to be moved
Can be bent to a right angle (90°)
Length is measured from the underside of the head to the tip of the anchor.
The max. fixture holes are limited to the outside diameter of the anchor based on ETAG 001, Annex C
