Titen HD Screw Bolt Approved for MAXRaft Insulated Slab Design

Recent testing on Simpson Strong-Tie concrete screw anchors used as bottom plate anchors with slab edges formed by MAXRaft polystyrene edging will comply with Clause 7.5.12.2 of NZS 3604.

The test results have proven that the Titen HD screw bolt (M10x160) will provide a 15kN fixing for end studs of bracing wall elements.

MAXRaft insulation provides a complete thermal break between your foundation and the ground around it. The MAXRaft insulated foundation increases energy efficiency and health benefits the occupants.

Titen HD is BRANZ appraised No. 983 (2018) for applications related to bottom plate fixings and holdown applications per NZS 3604.

The innovative serrated carbon-steel threads on the tip of the Titen HD are vital because they undercut the concrete as the anchor is driven into the hole, making way for the rest of the threads to interlock with the concrete.
