An LED light kit is now offered as an upgrade to QuARTz by ACO.  This is a water-activated lighting system, for illumination during showers and for a short time thereafter.  It is available for both ShowerChannel (a linear bathroom channel) and ShowerPoint (a bathroom floor waste).

The LED units are purpose built to suit QuARTz by ACO grates. The illumination is based on a simple circuit completion.  During showers, water runs over the contacts of the LED units to close the circuit, thereby activating the lights.  The units do not require any wiring and on average will only need to be recharged every three months.

The LED lights fit neatly under the grate and are easily removable for recharging.  Light kits are available in a variety of colours: red, blue, green and rainbow, which cascades through all colours.
