Hyne timber was used for this project in the rafters, skylights and purlins. All the wood products were treated to hazard level H3, which is a cost-effective way of protecting the wood from the harsh environment of an indoor swimming pool.
Hyne also designed and made a hidden epoxy dowl joint system for the 38 main rafters in the building.
The Hynebeams used on this project all came from softwood plantation forests and have a much smaller carbon footprint than other competitive building materials.
