Northern Blue Construction and Studio Architects faced such a challenge at the brand new Naisoso Island development located in Nadi Bay, Fiji. A short walk from the island’s five-star hotels, gourmet restaurants and vast marina, they have developed a 1000 m2 luxury hideaway featuring views of Fiji’s tropical hinterland on one side with the idyllic ocean expanse on the other.
One particular challenge for the designers was to safely manage the periods of heavy rainfall common to tropical locations, and do so with spouting and downpipes that would last in the corrosive coastal environment. Marley’s rugged half-round Magnum spouting and downpipe system provided the perfect solution, combining style with durability and performance. Installer Blueridge Plumbing also remarked on the ease of installation in what was its first experience using Marley Magnum.
With a spouting cross-sectional area of over 14000 mm2 and large 110 mm downpipes, the Marley Magnum system has the capacity to handle large roofs and tropical downpours. It is made from 100 per cent recyclable uPVC so will never rust even in the harshest coastal locations. Available in light grey with a distinctive external bracket system, Marley Magnum makes a design statement that lasts.
Northern Blue and Studio are already planning a further four houses on Naisoso Island, all featuring the Marley Magnum spouting and downpipe system.
