Rubber ramps are not permanent (unlike wood, concrete or metal), very cost-effective, and also provide a safer entry surface, reducing the amount of foot-borne contaminants being tracked indoors. Additionally, the rubber's properties enable a durable, silent, impact-absorbent and non-slip surface.
The popularity of the ramping system is evident within the health industry, providing the elderly and physically impaired with safer entry/exit doorways. Also, its environmentally friendly attributes have been recognised and encouraged by many architects, builder and fit-out design companies.
Ramps are primarily produced in black or grey; however, other colour options are available. They can also be made with bevelled edges which are polymerically bonded to provide a hard-wearing, all-weather surface.
