EcoPower is used as an on-demand ventilator not dependent on wind, perfect for buildings where fumes or heat need to be expelled at specific times or under varying circumstances.
Manufactured by Australian rotary ventilation specialists Edmonds – and distributed in New Zealand by Alsynite -- EcoPower uses patented electronic commutating (EC) motor technology with Edmonds’ world-renowned Hurricane ventilator design to allow the ventilator to be driven by wind only, or by wind and electric power simultaneously.
This provides peak performance and uses less energy than an incandescent light bulb.
Since assuming distribution rights for Edmonds’s wind and hybrid powered rotary ventilators in 2009, Alsynite has seen rapid growth in product specification by designers and specifiers impressed with the vast product range and benefits.
Alsynite offer a full design service in conjunction with Edmonds engineers, providing an accurate airflow management solution for any ventilation requirement, utilising the AS4740 design program this takes many factors into consideration and calculates the optimal ventilation scheme for a building to achieve desired air exchange rates.
All Edmonds rotary ventilators are rig tested to AS4740, are wind load tested to 195 km/h and are tested for rain penetration to AS2428.1. The ventilators can be ordered as mill finish or powder coated to match metal roofing colours and all units have manual or electric damper options.
