Dulux Colour Awards Finalist: Murphy House (Glacial Rock Farm) Project

The house - which Irene describes as having an "American Ranch" feel to it - has five bedrooms; three for the couple's children, one for guests and one master bedroom.

To create a wonderfully warm and cosy atmosphere for the couple and their family, Irene opted for rich and earthy colours such as botanical greens and deep rich reds.

Inspiration for the colour scheme came from a placemat that Sarah liked and a joinery colour "Pomegranate", that the couple were fond of.

As well as exuding a feeling of warmth, the colours selected have been designed to work in harmony with the stunning natural environment that surrounds the home, providing continuity between the outdoor and indoor spaces.

Colours Used:

  • Dulux Darfield

  • Dulux Darfield Quarter

  • Dulux Omarama Double

  • Dulxu Waipapakauri

  • Dulux Te Mata Peak
