Balustrade Privacy Screens for an Omaha Beach Home

This stunning home was recently handed over to a happy client at Omaha Beach.

The client appointed HomePlus Rodney to take the privacy screen specifications from concept to finished product and, using samples of the Juralco Edge Balustrade System with aluminium slat infill, allowed the client to visualise the final look and make their choice easier.

Privacy screens at a height of 1500mm were specified for the spa pool area and north facing decks to provide privacy from the nearby neighbours, in addition to acting as pool fencing for the spa pool and safety for the pet dog while on the deck.

A 60mm aluminium baluster slat infill, square handrail and hidden fixings for the edge privacy screen were chosen. The standard distance between the slats is 25mm for the chosen screens, but the client requested a 10mm gap to ensure their small dog could not fit through. This is one of the greatest benefits of working with the HomePlus group; products not only look stunning but are custom made specific to the client's needs.

Combined with Edgetec Frameless Balustrade Systems and finished in Dulux Powder Coat colour Silver Pearl, the finished privacy screens not only match the home's decor, they also add to the overall wow-factor.

A choice of four handrails are available: round, rectangular, and a single or twin pocket Aerofoil style which can be incorporated as a top rail or as a standalone handrail. An interlinking rail, for 10mm semi frameless glass balustrades can be top mounted (on the post caps) or front mounted 100mm below the top edge, using a handrail bracket fixed to the face of the balustrade post. A semi frameless glass finish, without a handrail can be achieved using 13.2mm thick toughened laminated glass, although the use of the Edge slimline top protection cap is highly recommended to help prevent any discolouring of the interlayer.
