3M NZ Creates New Architectural Markets Department

3M globally has recently created 3M Architectural Markets Department (AMD) to provide additional service and support to its customers in architectural and interior markets. 3M New Zealand is now refocusing on this market segment with service and support which includes technical, sales and marketing resources dedicated to growing awareness of 3M product offerings for architects and designers. 3M Fasara decorative window films and DI-NOC - both manufactured in Japan - are the key product offerings for 3M AMD.

3M Fasara films are used for interior design on window panes and glass partitions. Light is dispersed softly, rendering a high-class, tranquil atmosphere. 3M DI-NOC finishes are vinyl films that simulate a variety of natural and synthetic finishes, including wood, granite, marble, stucco, and just about anything else.

As part of this renewed focus, 3M has appointed Dawn Jones to provide product and specifying support to architects and designers. Dawn grew up in Devon, England and left Cambridge  two years ago with her partner to live in New Zealand. Her first home in NZ was an old Hi-Ace camper van and she travelled around NZ for about seven months before she settling in Auckland and getting a job with a lenticular print company (3D and motionprint). Although sales focused now, Dawn was formerly a marketer, with a degree in Marketing, German & French and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing. In the UK Dawn worked for a digital display company responsible for marketing, sales and business development and before that she was a product manager for five years at a large office products company where she was involved in project management of new product development, marketing and business development across Europe.

You can contact Dawn on 027 471 2281 to discuss how 3M can support your firm in specifying 3M Architectural Products or if you would like to receive a brand new Fasara sample book (Due out in May 2011) or the current DI-NOC sample book.
