Legacy if designed, used, installed and maintained in accordance with the statements and conditions of the technical literature, will meet or contribute to meeting the following provisions of the NZBC:

• Clause B1 Structure — When fastened to supports at a maximum of 600mm centres with one Legacy clip per sheet with two screws per clip, Legacy will withstand wind loads of up to Extra High Wind Zone as determined by NZS 3604:2011.
• Clause B2 Durability — When the base material is used in accordance with Table 20 of E2/AS1. In Severe Marine environments eaves clips to be Thermoplastic Powder Coated Galvanised or Stainless Steel 304 as appropriate for the cladding material.
• Clause E2 External Moisture — When design principles contained in E2/AS1 for trough section cladding are applied. Steel & Tube recommend details which incorporate concealed fixing methods to minimise the use of exposed fasteners.

Numerous specifications for large residential and commercial applications have been written for this product so the acceptance is widespread amongst designers. The product's sister product HiRib has many years of in-service history across New Zealand in both commercial and residential sectors.
