Anchor Points
Description

Anchor Points are single points to which a person working from height can be attached to provide fall protection, and may also be suitable for suspension work.

The WING Anchor point is offered in zinc plated metal as well as stainless steel and in 3 different colours. It may be used for suspended work (1 person) or for protection against falls from heights (3 people). WING may be installed vertically, horizontally, at an angle and overhead. 

Towers can be used set the anchor point at a distance from the building. They consist of a zinc plate or stainless steel strut, and can be used with timber, concrete, and steel roofs. 

For metal roofs base plate anchor points can be used. Shield has options for trapezoidal metal roofs, while the Siank base plates are for standing seam roofs.

Scope of Use

WING anchor point:

  • Used for single person suspension, or fall protection for up to 3 people
  • Can be installed on timber, concrete and steel structures
  • Installed vertically, horizontally, at an angle (sloped or flat roofs), and overhead

Towers:

  • Intended for use with timber, concrete, and steel roofs (flat and sloping) and ceilings
  • Tower XL features a larger base plate for greater distribution area

Shield & Siank Anchor Points:

  • Shield options for trapezoidal metal roofs
  • Siank options for standing seam metal roofs
  • May be installed on flat and sloping roofs
Limitations on Use
  • Tower and Shield/Siank options are not suitable for suspended work
  • Must be installed and maintained in accordance with Rothoblaas technical literature
Statement of Building Code Compliance

When installed in building work, Rothoblaas fall protection systems will comply with or contribute to compliance with the following building code clauses:

  • B1(Structure). B1.3.1, B1.3.2 B1.3.3 (a, b, c, e, f, h, j, m, q).
  • B2 (Durability). B2.3.1(b), B2.3.2(b).
  • F2 (Hazardous Building Materials). F2.3.1.
  • F4 (Safety from Falling). F4.3.1.

Founded in 1991, Rothoblaas now supplies products to more that 70 countries.

Other Performance Attributes

All Rothoblaas Fall Protection systems conform with AS/NZS 1891:2009 which is cited in D1/AS1 through AS/NZS 1657:2013, and are manufactured from AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel unless otherwise stated.
