Description

Resene Zincilate 11 is a sacrificial priming system for steel with superb anti-corrosive properties. May be applied in conditions up to 95% humidity. Eliminates rust undercutting. Excellent resistance to abrasion and impact damage.

Scope of Use

As a primer/finish coat
As a tanklining for petroleum solvents, structural steel, pipelines or storage tanks for petro-chemical refining, pulp and paper plants, drilling rigs and power stations
As a weld through primer applied at 12 microns — no burn back

Limitations on Use

Before topcoating check that the film is cured by testing resistance to rubbing with a rag wrung out in Resene Thinner No.12.
Ensure surface is clean, dry and free from soluble salts before overcoating.
Coating will not cure at R.H. lower than 40% — undercured coatings may be cured by keeping damp with water spray after the film has set.
Sensitive to acid or alkali solutions.
Non-saponifiable barrier coat must be used when overcoating with solventborne systems.
