Scope of Use

The Mitsubishi Electric Ducted In-Line Fans are the ideal ventilation solution for both commercial and residential applications, including toilets, changing rooms, meeting rooms, offices, storage areas and residential living spaces. They can also be used as heat transfer systems.

Limitations on Use
  • Not suitable for operation outside the temperature range of -15°C and 40°C, or in environments with relative humidity above 90%, such as installing them in or around enclosed showers.
  • Not suitable for use in high combustion areas or near combustion devices.
  • Units need to be installed by a registered electrician per the installation manuals.
  • The duct distribution connection needs to be installed efficiently and effectively to avoid a reduction in airflow capacity. Contact the Mitsubishi Electric Team for advice on how best to do so.
Statement of Building Code Compliance

Mitsubishi Electric Ducted In-line Ventilation Fans comply with suppliers’ declaration of conformity in accordance to IEC60335-1:2010 AMD1:2013, AMD2:2016 and IEC60335-2-80:2015 standards.

In-Service History

The Mitsubishi Electric In-Line Fan range was introduced into New Zealand in 2017.

Other Performance Attributes

Heat Transfer

The Mitsubishi Electric In-line Fan can also be used as a heat transfer system by taking excess heat created from the heating source, (e.g., Heaters, fireplaces) and distributing this heat to cooler areas of the home. Please note that we do not recommend installing a heat transfer system if the heating service is a heat pump.

Versatile Installation

The In-line Fan Range also has the flexibility to be installed away from the extraction room/point, effective for noise-sensitive rooms and/or if there is limited space in the roof cavity directly above.
