The MITEK Posi-STRUT system is a light economical method of providing large clear spans in rafters, purlins or floor joist situations. Frames and supports can be further apart to facilitate open spaces below.
The heart of the MITEK Posi-STRUT truss is the Posi-STRUT web, which is a V-shaped folded metal web with nail plate type connector ends. This metal web is attached to timber chords on both sides to form a very effective parallel chord truss.
The open-web pattern enables services and ducting to pass through the joist, rafter or purlin with ease. Posi-STRUTs are a truly customised, totally engineered flooring or roofing system, which combines the versatility of timber with the strength of steel, and offering a wide range of real advantages and savings to the architect, engineer and builder.
Posi-STRUT is available through MiTek accredited fabricators.
The Posi-STRUTs' system is widely accepted by Councils when issued with a PS1-Design from the Posi-STRUT Website design tool, from MiTek new Zealand Limited.
MiTek New Zealand manufacture GANG-NAIL connector plates and design software for accredited truss fabricators and LUMBERLOK and BOWMAC hardware for merchants
