Description

The ARDEX WeldTec Roofing System is suitable in all climates and heat-weldable for quick, consistent installation and creates a secure continuous membrane.

Scope of Use

As waterproofing membrane for roofs and decks within the following scope:

  • Site conditions: All exposure zones excluding microclimates (para 4.2, NZS3604:2011), and
  • Up to 6.0kPa ULS pressure differential.

Buildings that meet the following:

  • For new buildings that comply with the structural requirements of the New Zealand Building Code, taking into account all applied loads specific to the building.
  • In existing buildings where the designer and installer have assured themselves that the existing building is suitable for intended building work
  • Where the substrate is as follows: plywood, concrete, ARDEX Polyiso board, or strandsarking
  • Green roofs or roofs where loose laid ballast has been applied
  • Decks and roofs may be of any slope or size provided that the designer has assured themselves that the structure and substrate have been designed to allow for all applied loads and that water will shed to avoid the risk of ponding
Limitations on Use
  • The membranes must be installed by trained applicators, approved by ARDEX New Zealand Limited
  • A Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) is required to carry out Restricted Building Work. A LBP must do or supervise this work. They must work within the scope of their licence class.
  • Test Welds must be completed at start of work

If specified, installed and maintained in accordance with the conditions of this Product Technical Statement, the ARDEX WPM 715 WeldTec Membrane System will comply with or contribute to compliance with: 

  • B1 Structure: B1.3.1, B1.3.2, taking into account B1.3.3 (a, b, c, e, f, j, q)
  • B2 Durability: B2.3.1(b), B2.3.2(a)
  • E2 External Moisture: E2.3.1, E2.3.2
  • F2 Hazardous Building Materials: F2.3.1
  • G12 Potable Water: G12.3.2(c)
