Built right on the coast, this New Plymouth home benefits from the attractive Marley Stratus Design Series spouting and downpipe system.
Set high on the exterior of a home, contemporary designer spouting and downpipes add to the look and value of a property. But this is only half the story. Given their hard-to-access location, it pays to select a strong product that will require little or no maintenance – a system that combines durability and great looks.
This new architectural residence, built by Fabish and Jackson, is located on the New Plymouth waterfront. Given the salt-laden coastal environment, the Marley Stratus Design Series was specified for the spouting and downpipes, says senior product manager Scott Townsend.
“The secret to the Marley Stratus Design Series – besides its eye-catching looks – is our advanced manufacturing process. Co-extrusion manufacturing combines an internal layer that minimises thermal movement with an outer layer that provides the premium aesthetic. The result is durable colour with high UV- and weather-resistance – this product will never rust and is guaranteed for 15 years.”
The Marley Stratus Design Series is offered in Typhoon spouting and 80 mm downpipe, with titanium and copper hybrid-metallic finishes available. For this project, the copper finish was specified to complement the home’s cedar cladding.
Marley is a trusted New Zealand firm with 50 years’ manufacturing experience.
