Description

To assist with this noise-reduction initiative, Marley offers offers the dBlue acoustic plumbing system suitable for sanitary and drainage applications.

Scope of Use

This product has been BRANZ appraised under the Poliphon Acoustic Pipe System name for use within the following scope:

  • as alternative pipes, fittings and materials for sanitary plumbing system design and installation in accordance with NZBC Acceptable Solution G13/AS1 and AS/NZS 3500.2;
  • and for use as a sanitary plumbing system for internal use within buildings.
Statement of Building Code Compliance

In the opinion of BRANZ, the Poliphon (dBlue) Acoustic Pipe System if designed, used, installed and maintained in accordance with the statements and conditions of Appraisal No. 610 (2008), will meet the following provisions of the NZBC.

  • Clause B2 DURABILITY: Performance B2.3.1 (b) 15 years. The Poliphon Acoustic Pipe System meets this requirement.
  • Clause F2 HAZARDOUS BUILDING MATERIALS: Performance F2.3.1. The Poliphon Acoustic Pipe System meets this requirement and does not present a health hazard to people.
  • Clause G13 FOUL WATER: Performance G13.3.1. The Poliphon Acoustic Pipe System meets this requirement.
  • Poliphon Acoustic Pipe System has been appraised as an Alternative Solution in terms of New Zealand Building Code compliance.
In-Service History

This noise-reducing system has been specified and installed in commercial buildings, hospitals, apartments, homes and other multi-occupancy urban developments throughout New Zealand.
