PIR sensors detect heat signature movements in comparison to ambient temperature. In locations with higher ambient temperatures the PIR can struggle to identify a temperature difference if the ambient and moving heat signatures are close together. The maximum operating temperature for reliable triggering is considered at 50°C, and minimum ambient temperature for reliable triggering is considered down to -25°C.

SDoC compliance tested to AS/NZS 60669.1:2017 + 60669.2.1:2021, and to AS CISPR 15:2017. Additionally conforms to REACH and RoHs directives.
