Roof Underlay (SOLITEX UM CONNECT)
Description

SOLITEX UM connect is a four-layered roofing underlay with a 3D separation layer and integrated self-adhesive strips for sheet joins. It is suitable for ventilated or unventilated structures in combination with any type of roofing or facade materials such as titanium, zinc, stainless and galvanised steel and copper.

Optional Accessories:

  • KAFLEX or ROFLEX Grommets are used to seal around penetrations.

  • High performance monolithic nonporous membrane
  • High water resistance: water column more than 10,000 mm based on EN 20811
  • Low vapour resistance: very low MVTR with active vapour transport
  • High durability under all conditions: unaffected by wood preservatives
  • Thermostable: thermostability above 100°C
  • UV stabilised: can be exposed to the New Zealand elements for 30 days
  • A 3D separation layer that provides increased acoustic insulation and ventilation between the roofing structure and metal cladding
  • Integrated self-adhesive strips
Limitations on Use

Must be laid over plywood sarking.

Statement of Building Code Compliance

SOLITEX MENTO UM, if used, designed, installed and maintained in accordance with the pro clima installation instructions , will meet, or contribute to meeting the following provisions of the NZBC:

  • Clause B2 DURABILITY: Performance B2.3.1(a), not less than 50 years, B2.3.1(b), 15 years and B2.3.2 SOLITEX MENTO UM meets these requirements. 
  • Clause F2 HAZARDOUS BUILDING MATERIALS: Performance F2.3.1 SOLITEX MENTO UM meets this requirement and will not present a health hazard to people.
  • Clause E2 EXTERNAL MOISTURE: Performance E2.3.2 When used as part of the cladding system, SOLITEX MENTO UM will contribute to meeting this requirement.
