Scope of Use
  •  Polyflor MiPlank Acoustic has been specially developed as a modern Luxury Vinyl Tile and Plank solution when impact sound reduction is a key consideration when specifying flooring options. Combining the high quality and design of traditional MiPlank with an acoustic backing that reduces impact sound by up to 19db, MiPlank Acoustic is suitable for installation to homes as well as a range of heavy duty commercial spaces, and provides the perfect solution for multi-storied residential applications where the reduction of impact sound forms part of the design requirements. Available in 8 colours, the product thickness does not vary between the MiPlank and MiPlank Acoustic ranges, enabling interchangeability within projects where impact sound requirements may differ. Polyflor MiPlank Acoustic is available in a 5mm gauge with a .5mm wear layer in a variety of dimensions. 
Limitations on Use
  • Polyflor MiPlank Acoustic is designed for indoor use as a fully installed floorcovering.
  • Polyflor MiPlank Acoustic is not designed for wet or permanently immersed use, such as level entry access showers.
  • Polyflor MiPlank Acoustic is not designed for environments below -18 degrees celcius or above 60 degrees celcius. Refer Polyflor technical manual for recommendations around acclimatisation and installation in environments subject to thermal fluctuation.
  • Polyflor MiPlank Acoustic is suitable for installation over underfloor heating to a maximum of 27 degrees celcius, subject to installation instructions as per Polyflor Technical manual.
  • Polyflor recommends adequate UV protection from direct sunlight as fading may occur from exposure to our high UV in NZ.

In-Service History

Polyflor MiPlank Acoustic LVT has been used extensively in Europe, and has been successfully introduced to the New Zealand and Australian markets as design requirements for acoustic products evolve.

 Polyflor MiPlank Acoustic forms part of a system to reduce Impact Sound in residential and light commercial applications. It is manufactured under strict ISO standards, and achieves   a generic BRE Global Environmental A+ rating. Specific EN15804 EPD is available on request.
