Scope of Use

The Mitsubishi Electric VD-10Z/15Z/15ZP Ducted Exhaust Fans are ideal for areas typically exposed to higher moisture levels, such as residential laundries and bathrooms.

Whereas the VD-18Z/20Z are designed for high-end residential or light commercial spaces, where humidity is not as high but ventilation is still needed. This includes restrooms and offices.

Designed for Ease of Installation:

  • Suitable for both light weight steel frame ceilings and traditional roof cavities
  • High static pressure allows for longer duct runs
  • Easy access to fan and fan motor, so there is no need to add maintenance access
Limitations on Use
  • Due to VD-18Z/20Z Ducted Exhaust Fans having metal grilles, they are not suitable in high humidity areas. Instead, they are better suited for restrooms or offices.
  • Exhaust Fans are unsuitable for installation in areas containing high amounts of oil, chemicals, and dust.
  • Units need to be powered by a registered electrician per the installation manuals. Contact the Mitsubishi Electric Team for advice on how best to do so.
