Description

6.5mm GIB Curveline has been specifically formulated to allow the creation of tightly curved walls.

Sheets can be fixed horizontally or vertically and are typically installed as a two-layer system so it’s easy to then align with adjoining 13mm GIB plasterboard interior linings.

Available in 6.5mm x 1200 x 3600 sheets
Can accommodate a 250mm minimum radius for convex curves
Can accommodate a 450mm minimum radius for concave curves
64mm and 92mm Rondo Flexible Tracks are available to help make accurate formation of curved walls quicker and easier
Sheets feature a recyclable non-toxic natural gypsum core

Scope of Use

Interior curved walls
Can accommodate a 250mm minimum radius for convex curves
Can accommodate a 450mm minimum radius for concave curves
Can be fixed horizontally or vertically
Typically installed as a double layer of 6.5mm to align with adjoining 13mm boards
Pre-wetting of the plasterboard surface will assist with forming tight radius curves
64mm and 92mm Rondo Flexible Tracks can be used for faster & easier installation
10mm and 13mm GIB® plasterboard can also be curved — see installation manual

Limitations on Use

Suitable for interior use only
6.5mm GIB Curveline® is not recommended for use in ceilings — see installation manual for ceilings
Do not locate penetrations such as power points and light switches in curved wall sections
Where 2 layers are used stopping is only required on the outer layer
When a Level 4 or better surface finish is desired, skim coat radii tighter than 450mm
