Cabot's Interior Stain Oil Based
Description

Cabot's Interior Stain rejuvenates and transforms the colour of interior timber doors, windows, trim and furniture. It must be over coated with Cabot's Cabothane Clear Oil Based or Cabots Danish Oil to give the protection and durability required on interior timber.

  • Coverage: 12m²/L (depending on porosity of timber)

*In conditions of 25°C and 50% relative humidity.  Cooler temperatures or higher humidity affects recoat time

 

Scope of Use
  • Interior doors, windows, trim, and furniture
Limitations on Use
  • Clear top coat required for adequate durability and protection (either Cabot's Cabothane Clear or Danish Oil)
  • Topcoat needs to be oil-based
  • Do not apply product if temperature is below 10°C or is likely to fall below 10°C during the drying period
  • All timings quoted at 25 degrees and 50% humidity
  • Only apply to new timber or to timber from which all previous finishes have been removed
  • Moisture content of timber should be close to equilibrium moisture content, usually 10-15%, but not exceeding 15%, for satisfactory staining
Other Performance Attributes

Maintenance:

Regular inspection of all coated surfaces is recommended. Once water repellency has diminished, re-apply the existing topcoat as per label instructions. If the timber needs re-staining, sand back to bare.
