CS X-RayBarrier Cavity Slider
Description

The CS X-RayBarrier cavity sliding door system is designed for use in isotope areas or where diagnostic x-ray apparatus is used. Many doors to x-ray areas are larger than standard and are heavy to operate due to their lead content. A sliding door is far easier to manage for all staff – if the door is really big and heavy, CS can fully automate the door.

The cavity pocket has lead shielding custom fitted to all the jambs. Couple this with the CS X-RayBarrier sliding door leaf to make a complete system. CS can supply a door leaf manufactured from either aluminium or timber but it must meet minimum barrier requirements as specified by the consulting engineer.

CS Hi-Impact Jambs or standard aluminium jambs are available. Hi Impact Jambs are often a good option because the places where these cavity sliders are commonly used have trolleys, hospital beds and other moving objects which may come into contact with jambs on a regular basis.

Key Features
  • Patented cavity frame is fully tested and guaranteed. It is engineered from high quality heavy duty extruded aluminium.
  • Suitable for large openings (unlike hard to operate hinged doors).
  • Door cannot jump off the track.
  • Fits into a standard thickness wall (90 x 45 framing).
  • Supplied fully assembled for on-site installation.
  • Available in manual and AutoCav (automatic open/closing) options. CS AutoCav units require an access panel on one side for servicing purposes.

Detail Options

Incorporate any of the following architectural detail options with the X-RayBarrier cavity slider to create a specific look or to provide a unique solution.

  • Shadow Line
  • Hi-Impact Jambs
  • Protrude 100
