Provista Balustrade Systems has installed Semi-frameless glass balustrades to the decks and access areas of apartments in a new multi-block development in Papakura, South Auckland. The new homes are a further Kāinga Ora development, constructed to provide much needed additional housing in this growing area. Provista have provided similar solutions to other Kāinga Ora projects in the area as well as others across the country.

The three-level blocks on Wellington Street are centrally located to the Papakura township, providing easy access to all amenities for the occupants. The 27 new homes feature modern exteriors combining different low maintenance cladding materials with clean lines and complementary colour combinations. The balustrades feature a Matt Black powder coat finish in keeping with the joinery and other screening solutions that are integrated into the buildings.

Having used Provista solutions in previous projects the building contractors, GJ Gardner Homes Franklin/Papakura, specified Provista's Panorama solution to provide a stylish balustrade to the second and third levels of the apartments in each building. Provista's strong 'Ultra' post profile was utilised which also allowed visually pleasing post spacings to be achieved. The Ultra post range is specified for use in Extra High wind zones as standard. The posts were side-fixed to the deck structures allowing for completely hidden fixings and resulting in an ultra-clean look. The glass utilised is Metro Performance Glass 10mm Toughened Safety Glass.

Provista Panorama and 'Summit' semi-frameless solutions are very adaptable to different building types, looking great on modern or classical structures and have been specified on numerous multi-unit developments such as this across NZ. In this case it has provided a safe, practical, low maintenance and modern solution that complements the design and look of the apartments.
